LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2025

Hey Hey! The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2025 is an Absolute Delight

December was never going to be dull once this box arrived.

Look, we need to talk about the best thing to happen to the run-up to Christmas since someone decided mince pies should be a thing. The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2025 (set 75418, for those keeping notes) landed, and it brought with it 24 doors of pure, brick-built joy, all themed around the galaxy's most loveable tiny engineer: Babu Frik.

Yes, that Babu Frik. "Hey hey!"

The Theme: Droid Workshop Chaos

This year's calendar is based on the Droid Factory on Kijimi, as seen in The Rise of Skywalker, where the tiny Anzellan droidsmith Babu Frik famously reprogrammed C-3PO to translate a Sith dagger inscription. It's a wonderfully niche corner of the Star Wars universe to hang an entire advent calendar on, and it works brilliantly.

The concept is simple and genius: you are an apprentice droidsmith. Every morning in December, you open a door, and out tumbles another droid, tool, or workshop fixture. By Christmas Eve, you've built an entire droidsmith's workshop, populated it with an army of mechanical mates, and essentially become Babu Frik yourself. Minus the tiny stature. Probably.

The Star of the Show: Babu Frik Makes His LEGO Debut

Day 1 gifts you Babu Frik himself, and this is, remarkably, the first time we've ever gotten a Babu Frik minifigure. For a character this beloved, that feels like a long time coming. He's an absolute treat, and he sets the tone perfectly for what follows.

In total, this calendar contains the most characters of any Star Wars Advent Calendar ever made - 17 in all, with 16 given to you directly and a bonus B1 Battle Droid you can assemble from parts scattered across days 9, 18, and 23. A secret bonus droid hidden across the whole month? Brilliant. Devious. Very Star Wars.

The Droid Roster is Gloriously Bonkers

Where do we even begin? You get C-3PO (with his sinister red eyes, no less), a Holiday Jawa, BB-8 dressed as a snowman, R7-A7, BD-72, a Scrap Battle Droid, a Super Battle Droid, a Pit Droid, a Gonk Droid, a Buzz Droid, a Holiday Medical Droid, B2EMO, a Treadwell Droid, a Holiday Mouse Droid, and a Probe Droid.

That's a lot of droids. That is, frankly, an embarrassment of droids. The Separatists would be jealous.

The holiday outfits deserve a special mention. A Gonk Droid in a festive get-up. A Mouse Droid wearing Christmas cheer. A Medical Droid spreading seasonal wellness. Nobody asked for this, and yet here we are, and it is wonderful.

The Building Experience: Genuinely Lovely

This is where the 2025 calendar really shines. The daily builds feel varied and considered - across the 24 doors you're gradually assembling Babu Frik's full workshop, including a workbench, chair, tool rack, shelves, crane, a Jawa buildable vehicle, and even a festive Christmas tree. Each piece connects to the others, so by mid-December you've got this satisfying little scene taking shape on your shelf, growing a little each day.

The tool rack on Day 10, for instance, clips neatly onto the workbench from earlier in the calendar - that kind of considered, connective design makes the whole month feel like one big build rather than 24 isolated micro-sets. It's a genuinely clever structural choice and it makes the daily ritual feel like proper progress.

The instructions are clear, the pieces are well-organised in their little compartments, and even the smaller builds have enough going on to feel satisfying rather than stingy. It's the kind of set where you find yourself looking forward to tomorrow's door before you've even finished today's.

The Verdict

The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2025 is a delight from start to finish. A coherent theme, a record-breaking character roster, a first-ever Babu Frik figure, secret bonus droids, and workshop builds that actually connect into something worth displaying: it's the full package.

263 pieces across 24 days, and every single one of them earned its place. Whether you're six or sixty, opening that little door each morning before the rest of the house wakes up is one of December's simple pleasures and the 2025 Star Wars calendar made it feel properly special.
