Nice Saturday

Well, today was finally a weekend. After a few couple of days of hard work since my last weekend, I thought it would be good to chill out a bit, so I went with a friend to Heathrow airport to take some pictures.

The weather was really nice and we managed to get some really nice photographs.

On our way home, I decided it was time to treat myself as a reward for all my hard work so I popped into an Apple store and came home with the iPad 2.

Was a bit undecided between the black and white version, but the white has a cheap look and gets dirty easily, so black it was :)

Madeira Holidays in 2008

We are already into 2009, but the end of 2008 was good. In overall, 2008 was a good year.

I’v moved into a new country, with all the changes that brings to a person. Been working for six months in England, and so far has been very good.

In the 2008 Christmas, I went to visit my family in the homeland. It was good to see the family again, and visit the island as well.

Therefore, to share the magnificent island from where I came from, here are some photos from different points of it.

Happy new year.

Brighton

This is another nice place, outside London.

After a couple of months here, the sea was something that was outside of my horizont for a long time.

In Brighton we can see the sea again, and on top, it was a really nice day. The walk on the boat was great, and I hope that next time I go prepared to visit the sea.

Crystal Palace

Story tells that once upon a time there was a Palace on this grounds.

Now there is only green space, and a big communications(!?) antenna, but it is a lovely place to go for a walk.

Really big, with good attractions, and a nice way of spending a whole day.

Some pictures to show what you are missing…

Walk to Pico do Areeiro

Pico do Areeiro is one of the greatest mountains on Madeira Island.

Today we walked there, to have some nice fresh air.
